Social change from local community life towards current individualised global age has been very quick. Contemporary global age means that the life on the planet Earth is not a collection of separate phenomenon and things but a system where everything is connected with each other. Politics tends to be local even if challenges are global. Systems thinking is the way to enhance local policies in the global age. Systems thinking and convergent thinking, in which environmental, social and economic issues overlap, is essential to avoid simplifying surrounding reality, and to see the big picture. After that the old model of linear innovations turns to the diverse model of systemic innovations. There are lots of solutions and opportunities to be found. Systems thinking is a key to understand human life in a global age.
